The power of words is something I talk about often. But today after receiving a lovely gift from my sister it made me think about the small things that we use or do everyday that can help keep our words and our thoughts positive.

The gift was this cute Oyster Card holder ‘The World is your Oyster’ (as shown above). It’s something I will use regularly and its message is a clear reminder to keep the faith, remain positive and know that I can achieve all I set out to do.

Here’s another everyday idea I thought of:

Change your passwords to positive statements or words. We have so many security codes for things I doubt there’s a day that goes by where we don’t need to type a password for access to something.

Instead of using your pet, child or significant others name (which is all very sweet) why not change it to an inspiring phrase or string of words that motivate you. You might want to add a few numbers or special characters in too for extra security in case you’re worried.

It may be slightly longer than a password you’d normally use which is great as it means you have to concentrate on it more, which is likely to strengthen your connection to it. Plus if you’re using said words /phrase on a frequent basis you are increasingly affirming it as the truth!

What do you think of this idea?  Do you have any everyday rituals or objects that use the power of words to inspire and motivate you?

I think changing your passwords to a positive affirmation or motivational phrase is a great idea and one I will be implementing soon. Thanks for the idea :)
